Incredible 19th century British West Indies 4 post bed from Jamaica. Incredibly hand carved bed made of the finest local Jamaican mahogany in the 1820s. The headboard is a typical Jamaican theme but includes a fairly rarely seen heart motif carved right in the center.  This bed has been professionally converted to fit a modern California King size mattress and was done in a way that the conversion is reversible so that the headboard did not have to be altered and lose any value in its originality.
