Very good quality late 17th-early 18th century Bermuda blanket chest made of Bermuda Cedar with a drawer. See dovetails- these decorative dovetails were only done in Bermuda and Cuba. The foot construction (attached to the bottom with battons) is indicative of the second oldest example in the book, "Bermuda's Antique Furniture and Silver" by Bryden Hyde and suggest a date of 1680.
